The IP voice tool developed is a communication device for the Internet. It also includes a module to collect a variety of statistics from the network, to be used in performance tests, and implements a jitter recovering algorithm with parameters that can be set by the user and a sophisticated packet recovering algorithm to cope with heavy network losses common in our Internet environment of today.

Note that Vivavoz is a point-to-point VoIP application. In order to allow simulataneous voice conversations among several users there is a voice server tool (VVServer) to which several Vivavoz nodes may connect.
